Residential Home Inspections
My residential home inspections are completely comprehensive. I will accompany you through a walkthrough and inspection of the home you’re interested in buying or selling, and assess its condition using our multi-point home inspection checklist.
Commercial Inspections
Commercial real estate is a huge investment. Just like when buying a house, it’s a good idea to get an inspection on a commercial property if you’re considering purchasing it. By hiring an inspector to look for issues with the property and prepare the findings in a report, you will have a better idea of the future costs associated with the building – and whether or not to walk away from the deal.
Alberta New Home Warranty Inspection
The Alberta Government provides a New Home Warranty Program. This warranty consists of a minimum of 1yr Materials & Labour, 2yrs Distribution Systems (Electrical/Plumbing/Heating), 5yrs Building Envelope (Roof/Siding/Windows) and 10yrs Structural Elements. Home owners are encouraged to have these new home inspections prior to possession and at 11 months after possession.
Radon Testing
Radon is colorless, odorless, and extremely carcinogenic (cancer-causing). It can affect homes anywhere, and the only way to check for elevated levels of radon in your home is with testing. Home tests are available, but I recommend professional testing for peace of mind.
Thermal Imaging
The purpose of an infrared scan is to find issues and catch them before they become a major problem. With the use of my infrared camera, I can help identify moisture, insulation, electrical, HVAC issues, and many more.
Drone Imaging
Drones provide me with a close-up look of your roof and the upper exterior of your home. While remaining safe on the ground, I can also get an aerial view of your entire property, including foliage, drainage, and fencing.
Mold Testing
If you suspect mold in your home, I’m here to help. I use the latest lab tests and analysis to detect hidden mold that may be in crawl spaces, between walls, and in other such areas of your home, to ensure you and your family are safe from mold infestations.
